We've shared some ideas with you about how to shop seasonally at a year-round, producer-only market but what do you do when you bring those delicious in-season fruits and veggies home? In this week's Farmers Market Friday we're going to share some favorite recipes with you to give you ideas on how to use the produce you can find at the Madison Farmers Market during the Summer Market season!

Madison Farmers Market Vendors can be found on Broadway beyond the street barricades and white picket fences. Vendors are producer-only within this space.
We are in the peak of summer produce season at the Madison Farmers Market which means Broadway is full of vibrant colors and delicious fruits and veggies! Tomatoes, corn, summer squash, eggplants, beans, peppers, and more can be found with a number of our vendors.
Many of these fruits and vegetables lend themselves well to grilling and can make your cookout extra special but we'd like to share a few other ideas with you.
Ratatouille is a quintessential dish when it comes to utilizing fresh tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, and squash. You can even pick up gourmet garlic and herbs at the Madison Farmers Market to take this recipe up a notch.
We love mixing up a fresh herb butter to compliment fresh in-season corn. Looking for a more comforting meal? Try a Corn Chowder! We love this recipe that uses both the corn kernels and corn cobs - two thumbs up for sustainable cooking methods!
Zucchini is such a versatile summer staple, lending itself well to both sweet and savory dishes. Parmesan Zucchini Fritters or Zucchini Relish are both delicious ways to utilize zucchini while it is in season! We prefer to leave the sweet recipe up to Mahoney Hoosier Home & Gardens where we pick up a loaf (or two) of Logann's Lemon Zucchini bread!
