Madison Main Street, in collaboration with German American Bank, presents the Driving Small
Business Revenue Program - a four-session series designed for small businesses ready to boost
revenue and expand operations. Network with local peers, gain essential strategies for business
growth, and engage with industry experts.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Strengthening the backbone of our economy—our small business network—is our mission. In partnership with German American Bank, Madison Main Street presents this series of engaging courses specifically crafted for local businesses. The Historic Eagle Cotton Mill will provide a professional setting for the series.
As an added incentive, two participating businesses will have the chance to receive a grant upon completing the series, providing crucial support for taking operations to the next level.

Program Timing & Refreshments
Doors will open at 8:30 AM, and each program will run from 9:00–11:00 AM. Coffee (sponsored by The Attic) and refreshments will be available at each session. Lunch will be provided after the program on March 9th.

MMSP REINVESTMENT GRANT
Madison Main Street Program is investing in projects that strengthen our Historic District for the long haul. This grant is designed to create visible community impact for two years or more—because when one business struggles, the whole district feels it. We’re stronger together.

Award: MMSP will award two businesses with a MMSP Reinvestment Grant totaling $2,500. Each $2,500 grant will require a 1:1 match (minimum $5,000 total project). Recipients will be announced at the MMSP Gala on April 2, 2026.

Eligibility: Brick-and-mortar businesses in Madison’s Historic District. (MMSP staff, Board members, and Small Business Support Committee members are not eligible.)

Project window: Projects may not begin until April 3, 2026 and must be completed by December 31, 2026.

Eligible projects include: Building improvements (interior/exterior), signage or rebranding, software (new/upgrade), new or expanded product lines, purchasing a building, and professional services (website, accounting, legal, marketing, etc.).

Not eligible: Regular business expenses. For Example: bonuses, employee compensation, automobiles, insurance, or rent.

Requirements: Submit a written project proposal via the online application link.

Distribution of Grant Funds: After completion, provide before/during/after photos and receipts. MMSP will reimburse up to 50% of all project expenses within 5 business days of the submission of the photos and receipts up to $2,500.

Mentorship Program: Grant recipients will be paired with a local mentor for one year at no cost.

Workshops required: To qualify, the owner or a designated manager must attend all four Driving Small Business Workshop Series sessions from start to finish (Jan 26, Feb 9, Feb 23, Mar 9).

Media ownership: All submitted photos, videos, stories, and application materials become the property of MMSP for promotion and reporting.

Sustainability: If serious issues arise within two years, recipients agree to contact MMSP before considering closure so MMSP can help troubleshoot and connect resources.
