Girls Weekend in Madison is Getting a Makeover for 2026!

Madison, IN – December 4, 2025 – For a number of years, Girls Weekend in Madison has been a favorite early spring tradition, bringing women together to shop, dine, and celebrate in our charming downtown. From fabulous fashion shows to energetic dance parties and delicious brunches, Girls Weekend has grown into one of Madison’s most anticipated annual events. In 2026, the weekend will be getting a makeover!

 

The Madison Main Street Program and Visit Madison Indiana are teaming up to reimagine the weekend as a more casual, shop-and-support-local celebration happening March 6–8, 2026. Visitors and locals alike are encouraged to gather their girlfriends and enjoy a weekend focused on the heart of what makes Madison special: our locally owned shops, unique dining experiences, and warm hospitality.

 

“We know how popular this weekend is for visitors and businesses alike, so when the event did not fit into our refreshed strategic plan, we wanted to find a partner for it that would keep the spirit alive and we found that partner in Visit Madison Indiana,” said Austin Sims, Executive Director of the Madison Main Street Program. “We hope everyone will mark their calendars because downtown will be buzzing with energy. It will be the perfect excuse to grab your girlfriends and head to Madison!”

 

Instead of a paid event with tickets, the weekend will focus more on local business offerings, allowing participants to choose their own activities for a fun weekend. Visit Madison will take all business offerings and curate a special Girls Weekend Guide that highlights discounts, pop-ups, tastings, and other promotions. Businesses already committed to Girls Weekend specials include:

 

• Fairfield Inn: $149/night (must call in reservation, promo code GIRLS WEEKEND)

• Riverboat Inn: Buy one night, get second free (must call in, mention promo code GIRLS)

• Clifty Inn: $135.99/night (Call in and mention promo Girls Weekend or use GWKD)

• Mad Paddle Brewstillery, which will host a dance party on Saturday night for a $5 cover charge.

• Madison Trolley Line will offer a $10 weekend pass allowing rides all weekend between hotels and restaurants/retail.

 

“We’re looking at this year as an opportunity to simplify and refocus on what makes Girls Weekend so fun: supporting local businesses, sharing time with friends, and soaking up the unique vibe of downtown Madison,” said Andrew Forrester, Visit Madison Indiana Tourism Director. “It’s still going to be a memorable weekend – just in a more laid-back, self-guided way.”
