We've had a great summer at the Madison Farmers Market and now October brings a change as we move into our Winter Market Hours. Learn more about the Winter Season with the Madison Farmers Market below!
The temperatures have cooled off and it feels like Fall is finally here in beautiful Madison, IN which means it is time for us to begin our Winter Market season at the Madison Farmers Market.
The products that you'll see at market are quite similar to what you've seen during the summer as we'll continue to have vendors with local honey, farm-fresh eggs, freshly baked goods, a variety of locally & sustainably raised meats, handmade items such as jewelry, fiber arts, and home decor, goat milk soap and other products as well as in-season produce.
What does in-season produce look like for a producer-only market in Southern Indiana?
We'll be saying goodbye to tomatoes very soon and swapping them out for root vegetables like carrots, beets, and potatoes. It means that we'll begin seeing more microgreens and leafy greens; perfect for increasing the nutritional value of your meals. It's time for winter squash to be the star of the show with varieties like butternut, honey nut, kabocha, and more!
We have two planned closures on December 24th and December 31st to allow our vendors and staff to spend time with their families over the holidays.
We are otherwise open, rain or shine. Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook to stay up to date on events and potential closures as sometimes weather can leave us needing to close for the safety of the overall market.
We can't wait to see you on Broadway!
