Officially, Ralph London’s watchword for 2026 is “sustainability.” It seems like a worthy goal for a businessman who has, with Justin Preece, started three separate stores in Madison during the past few years. Sustainability is a good thing, right?
But one doesn’t have to dig too hard to find that Ralph sees bigger dreams on the horizon.
This year he opened Love Betty Bridal in the Fountain Building, 402 W. Main St. The 1873 Italianate mansion, with its tall windows, high ceilings and sparkling chandeliers, is the perfect showcase for Madison’s only bridal shop. Ralph sees the store as a catalyst for Madison’s growing reputation as an event venue.
“My goal is to make Madison a true wedding destination. I feel like we should have a true district – like the Reading District in Cincinnati,” Ralph says. He points out the benefits of planning a wedding in beautiful Madison. “We’ve invested a lot in our buildings, infrastructure and landscaping,” he said, making Madison a picture-perfect venue. “I feel like we have so much to offer.”

A year ago, Ralph and his team hosted their first bridal show at Fountain House. Soon after, he established a full bridal boutique on the first floor. Today, he offers hundreds of gowns ranging from $500 to $2,500, featuring collections from Canada, London, Paris, and even his own designs. The assortment includes fabrics like chiffon, lace, jacquard, and satin—Ralph’s current favorite.
Customers can choose from designers such as Stella York, Lore, Tres Chic, and many others, with available sizes from 0 to 24. The journey begins with a two-hour consultation with Ralph and his team, and appointments are already fully booked for January. (To schedule, call 812-801-5320.) Most brides start searching for their dress several months in advance to allow time for ordering and alterations. The Love Betty Bridal Wedding Show at the White Barn in early November marked the start of wedding planning for many couples.

On November 10, Love Betty Bridal launched a contest inviting couples to “Tell us your love story!” with the chance to win a wedding. Ralph was inspired by a chat with Julie Truax, whose daughter Emily won the Cincy Bridal Idol contest and married Lance at Richwood on the River in 2008.
Local businesses eagerly partnered with Love Betty Bridal, coming together to offer a $25,000 Madison-area wedding package. After lively online voting in November and December, Taten and Caroline were announced as the winning couple this month.
Their Madison wedding is set for June 13, 2026, with area businesses donating services to help make their dream day a reality. Caroline has already selected her perfect dress at Love Betty Bridal.
