The Trolley Barn Shops, located at 719 W Main Street, are home to specialty shops for every occasion! Today, we shine a spotlight on Barker Farms & Gifts, a unique shop owned by Whitley Barker that has the perfect gift for anyone.

Whitley and her husband, Travis, own a farm in Hanover where Travis is a fourth-generation farmer. When they married, they began discussing ways to expand the farm beyond just the land that could be passed down to their children and future generations. That’s when the idea for Barker Farms & Gifts came to life, and the family opened their doors in September of 2023.
From the very start, the shop became the family business they envisioned, with Whitley and Travis’s young boys, aged just 4 and 8 years old, already helping out! They assist with picking inventory and even help ring up customers, making sure the shop runs smoothly.

Barker Farms & Gifts offers a variety of unique gifts you won’t find anywhere else! The shop features home décor in farmhouse and French country styles, wall decor and of course, the very popular Turkish lamps. You can also find beautiful garden stone angels and other outside decorations that will make your garden pop! Barker Farms & Gifts also offers bereavement gifts and delivery.
The apparel section includes stylish tops, jewelry, and purses, making it the perfect place to find gifts for others (and a little something for yourself!). The candles offered are absolutely amazing, we suggest spending some time sniffing them all! “I think Barker Farms & Gifts brings something unique to Downtown Madison,” said Whitley.

In addition to being a staple at Downtown Madison events, Barker Farms & Gifts is all about collaboration and supporting other local businesses. “We always love to support other businesses downtown,” Whitley shared. “I love the small-town feel that’s in the atmosphere here.”
Meeting new people has been one of Whitley’s favorite parts of the business, contributing to the warm, welcoming feel of the shop. “My favorite part of my day-to-day at the shop is meeting new customers and hearing about where they’re from and their experience visiting downtown Madison!” Many customers also share how much they love their purchases from Barker Farms & Gifts and how they're always showing what they buy off to family and friends.
