Music in the Park Summer Series! 2012

MADISON, Ind.—The Madison Main Street Program is excited to announce its upcoming 2012 Music in the Park summer concert series line-up.

June Summer Kick-Off Friday, June , 7-9 p.m., by historic Madison’s beautiful Broadway Fountain on Broadway Street. Let’s all enjoy, This Old Guitar (TOG) band from Seymour, IN as they play traditional folk music.

The season will wrap up with local oldies rock favorite The Doctors’ Band playing the special Saturday September Music in the Park concert held on Saturday, September , and sponsored by, the Madison Chautauqua Festival of Art.

Music in the Park is always a free family event, brought to you by the Madison Main Street Program, with the financial support of sponsors including the Indiana Arts Commission, City of Madison, Madison Chautauqua Festival of Art and many other great Madison businesses and friends.

Music in the Park events are two-hour concerts beginning at 7 pm, and are held at the Broadway Fountain, with rain-out location that varies. The family-friendly events offer free balloons, free face painting, and a concession stand.

The Madison Main Street Program is an independent 501©3 not-for-profit organization aimed at revitalizing Madison, Indiana’s wonderful historic downtown commercial district. The Madison Main Street Program is accredited by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, and has been incorporated in the State of Indiana since 1995. The Madison Main Street Program is always looking for volunteers and committee members who want to work to preserve Madison’s downtown commercial district through programs of historic preservation, retail promotion, beautification, and economic development.
