Main Street encourages property maintenance and renovation by providing free exterior design assistance, by sharing information on local historic design guidelines and supplying resources fro historic building renovation. Property values are strengthened and increased by Main Street’s efforts to preserve the special character of out downtown.
For Business Owners
Main Street enhances the downtown business climate. The committees work with merchants on store design and visual merchandising. Business owners can call us anytime for help with design, marketing and promotional campaign ideas.
For Residents
Main Street provides promotional events such as “Fourth Friday Art and Shop Hop” to provide a Friday evening of leisure shopping and music enjoyment. Local artists exhibit their talents and help to create the cultural atmosphere that Madison has become to be known for. Main Street also helps to inspire community pride and advocacy by sponsoring events like “MadisonFest” and “Music in the Park”, a concert series held in the summer. Residents enjoy the benefits of Main Street’s commitment to a beautiful and historic downtown.
